How to Measure Your Shoe Size

Over time the feet can vary in size and shape. This is due to a variety of factors, including climate, age, pregnancy, weight gain, fluid retention, and other factors. That is why it is important to measure your feet before buying new shoes online.

For a more accurate measurement, measure them at the end of the day, when they are at their largest.

  1. Place a sheet of A4 paper on the floor and sit on a chair.
  2. Remove any socks, tights, or stockings, then place your foot on top of the paper. Center your foot in the middle of the paper. Check that your foot can fit within the parameters of the paper, if not, select a larger sheet. Make sure your feet are firmly planted on the ground.
  3. Trace around your foot with a pencil to create an accurate sketch. Try to keep your sketch as close to the edge of your foot as possible, so the drawing can be accurate. Depending on your foot, your tallest toe might be your big toe, or it might be the toe right next to your big toe.
  4. Repeat this process to measure your other foot.
  5. Measure the length of your two sketches with a ruler. Center a ruler along the heel portion of the drawing, making sure it is going through the center of the sketch. Measure to the top of your tallest toe, then check to see what the ruler says.
  6. Find your foot measurements on the size guide to see which size grouping you fit into. Sometimes, both feet have slightly different lengths. In this case, we recommend you choose the shoe size according to the larger foot.
